Methodology
The 4 skills
The method adopted at Stazione Italia is based on a communicative approach to language, which aims at the parallel improvement of the four fundamental language skills: understanding, speaking, reading and writing.

Culture and society
The student is brought into contact with the language, seen not only as an instrument, but also as the manifestation of a culture and a society. In the lesson, therefore, particular emphasis is given to activities that involve the use of authentic material (music, films, newspapers and simplified readings).

Communication
Within this perspective, grammar, phonology and lexicon are taught progressively through the simulation of everyday situations that allow the rapid development of the necessary communicative skills. At the same time, study techniques and learning strategies are strongly encouraged.

Didactic Material
The books used are carefully chosen among the most recent and tested in the teaching of Italian to foreigners. All are based on the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), a Council of Europe document that currently guides the teaching/learning of languages in and within the European Union.
